Want to find out more about the Mind-Body IVF Programme?
Dr. Alice Domar, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Harvard University in the United States. Throughout her career, she has wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the study of the intricate relationship between the mind, the body and infertility. Over time, she has emerged as one of the most widely cited specialists in this field on a global scale. Her journey into exploring the impact of psychological distress on fertility began early in her career, leading to the development of 'The MindBody Programme for Fertility.' The insights and findings presented below are drawn from Dr. Alice Domar's research publication titled 'The Relationship Between Stress and Infertility' in 2018 [1].
1. Rooney KL, Domar AD. The relationship between stress and infertility. Dialogues Clin Neurosci. 2018 Mar;20(1):41-47. doi: 10.31887/DCNS.2018.20.1/klrooney. PMID: 29946210; PMCID: PMC6016043.
“However, the most recent research has documented the efficacy of psychological interventions in lowering psychological distress as well as being associated with significant increases in pregnancy rates” [1]
“Fortunately, psychological interventions, especially those emphasizing stress management and coping-skills training, have been shown to have beneficial effects for infertility patients” [1]

About Tanja
Over 20 years ago, I stepped into a leadership role and got a coach assigned to me. It was such a great experience. He offered me so much reflection and space for growth that I deeply wished to support others as well. This is how I discovered my passion for coaching.
Several years down the road, I broke both shoulders in a sailing accident, leading to extensive surgeries. It ended up taking one whole year before I could get back to work, much longer than I expected. Even after an intense year of physiotherapy, I was still struggling to regain full mobility in my shoulders. My professor looked at me and said: "This is it; we've exhausted all medical options. You won't play tennis, badminton, or do handstands again."
